It was inevitable that I would run out of Picross titles I felt like paying for on the Switch and look elsewhere. Picross is the ultimate bedtime routine and picking it up on Game Boy fit my insomnia perfectly. What can I say about this one? It's a picture puzzle game that makes the player feel like they are on weak but satisfying drugs. Play it in the dark on an Analog Pocket with the red Virtual Boy filter. The sequel has better puzzles but the mandatory time-trial segments obliterate the vibe like a Chihuahua at a John Cage concert.
